Linear Apartments is an upmarket residential tower in one of Sydney’s fastest growing inner suburbs.
ACOR provided multidiscipline Structural, Civil, Hydraulic and Electrical consulting services which allowed for successful coordination between the building services and structures at an earlier stage. This 9-storey building consists a mix of 30 apartments , with three basements and consists of conventional reinforced concrete floors, including two transfer floors. The vertical load bearing elements and façade are precast walls, to provide near finish and minimize in-situ concreting, while AFS walls were used to support vertical loads and eliminate the need for expensive formwork.
The structural analysis and design of the building was carried out using 3D computer modelling. Through extensive negotiations with the electrical distributor we were able to eliminate the need for a separate substation for the building.
