  • 5-8+ years’ relevant engineering experience in Australia
  • Chartered Electrical Engineer with relevant Electrical Engineering qualification

Hydraulic & Building Services Draftsperson- Brisbane

ACOR Consultants, a member of the ACOR Group of Consulting Engineers, has a number of significant major projects underway.

Due to current growth, we are seeking an experienced Hydraulic and Fire Building Services Draftsperson with experience in 2D AutoCAD drafting and BIM / Revit design modelling to join our team.

The ACOR Group is an industry respected consulting specialist, particularly in the field of Defence, Land Development, Health, Mining, industrial and commercial projects.

You will be working on a wide range of projects including (but not limited to) residential, commercial developments, schools, defence projects, aged care facilities and mining infrastructure works.
To ensure your ongoing success in this role, you will ideally have:

  • 2+ years of Building Services 2D (AutoCAD) drafting experience
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit MEP, highly desirable
  • Ability to learn new concepts and software quickly

Structural Manager – Brisbane

ACOR is a well-established engineering consulting company with offices across Australia. We are currently seeking a Structural Manager to join our rapidly growing sector in our Brisbane office.

This role is the next career step for an ambitious, self-motivated Senior Structural Engineer to lead our Structural section. The structural section started 2 years ago in Brisbane and now has a team of 5 structural staff and the business is looking to build off this growth.

This is a leadership role with a task to build up and drive business, so it is essential that the successful candidate is client focussed, proactive and a good communicator. You would require the following skills and experience:

  • 15 years+ recent design experience in a variety of structural design building types
  • Local experience and client base
  • Experience using current design software
  • Ability to be a proactive Team Leader and to work in a close knit team environment

WSC Project Manager/Designer- St Leonards Sydney

The Sydney office is looking for a WSC Project Manager and Designer to assist with the running of the Water Services Coordination department.

The successful candidate will need to have good attention to detail, have an approachable personality and be willing to work in a small, vibrant team.

  • 5+  years’ experience working as a Water Servicing Coordinator
  • Experience processing Section 73 Applications, Building Plan Approvals, Minor Works and Main to Meter
  • Experience with eDeveloper

  • Minimum S1 and W1 designer and Project Manager Listing with Sydney Water

Hydraulic Services Designer – Norwest Business Park, Western Sydney

ACOR has a number of significant major projects underway and we are looking for an experienced Hydraulics Services Designer to join our team at Norwest Baulkham Hills.

The candidate will perform Hydraulic (Plumbing) engineering consultancy duties associated with the planning, approval and construction of private and public projects.

The successful candidate must have:

  • 4+ years’ experience working as a Hydraulic Consulting Engineer in either plumbing or a consultancy environment within Australia. Essential is a high level of understanding of relevant Australian Standards (eg AS.3500, AS.2419, AS.5601, etc.) and local requirements
  • Provide site administration support such as construction phase and commissioning supervision
  • Proven ability to assist with management of project delivery and design team resources
  • Provide design and documentation of Hydraulic services including, hot and cold water, Gas reticulation systems, waste, stormwater, sewerage and drainage systems, Fire Hydrant and Fire Hose Reel Services for a range of residential, healthcare, commercial, industrial, institutional and mixed use projects
  • Provide management assistance and direction of drafting and Hydraulic Services Design team resourcing
  • Diploma in Hydraulic Services Design or equivalent Engineering Degree
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and good time management
  • Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment or labor to determine project feasibility
  • Prepare project design reports, budgets and fee proposals
  • Actively work in a team of expert professionals who are proud of where they work
  • Competent experience in Fire Sprinkler services design (would be advantageous)
