Stormwater Engineer / Flood Modeller, 5+ years Exp. – Norwest Business Park

ACOR Consultants is an Australia-wide group of multi-disciplined Engineers, Infrastructure Planners, Managers and Designers.   • Strong stormwater and flood assessment knowledge
  • A strong working knowledge with a range of design software packages including TUFLOW, DRAINS, MUSIC, HEC-RAS.  12D knowledge beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct professional civil engineering analysis, design or computation (focussed on siteworks, stormwater drainage, on-site detention, stormwater quality, flood modelling, WSUD and services coordination) with little supervision
  • Perform professional engineering work and exercise individual judgement and initiative in the application of engineering principles, techniques and methods with supervision from higher-level engineers as to method of approach and requirements
  • Undertake improvement of professional engineering tasks, project management and project controls
  • Preparation of design models and technical reports within the timeframes required

Civil Engineer – Brisbane

You will have a participation in the business development and marketing by maintaining the relationship with existing clients.

Minimum Requirements

The successful candidate will need to satisfy the following essential criteria:

  • Minimum 6-10 years’ experience in design and construction administration within an engineering consultancy
  • Client and project management experience
  • Project experience in land development and multi-disciplinary projects
  • RPEQ preferred but not essential,
  • A strong working knowledge with a range of design software packages

  • Strong technical knowledge in the main areas of civil engineering

Engineering Consultant – Brisbane

This position exists to support the success of ACOR Brisbane both locally and on a national level and requires Engineering and Project Management to obtain, secure, manage and deliver projects as part of the ACOR team. This role is a 6 month Casual Contract with the possibility for ongoing work. The employee shall retain independent responsibility to obtain, secure, manage and deliver technically difficult and strategic projects.

They successful candidate will need to satisfy the following essential criteria:

  • Minimum 2 years previous in design and/or project management experience within an engineering consultancy or associated industry

The role is appropriate for a capable mechanical/chemical engineer, with experience in delivering Petrochemical design projects and providing technical consultation within the Defence, mining and industrial sectors.

  • Provide technical inspection of client site fuel storage and handling systems for compliance and condition
  • Undertake compliance inspections for and preparing reports
  • Assist Senior Engineer in the Project Management on various projects/activities
  • Liaising with sub consultants/contractors to obtain pricing, schedule, performance analysis, monitoring and action
  • Facilitate meetings including risk management, user group workshops and design workshops
  • Managing projects, clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers against project schedules, scopes and budgets
  • Petrochemical design management and process engineering
  • Ability to understand relevant Australian Standards and Legislation
  • Good understanding of Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Substances compliance would be an advantage.
  • Site based inspections, engineering and commission services to internal and external projects.

Hydraulic Services Designer – Norwest Business Park, Western Sydney

ACOR has a number of significant major projects underway and we are looking for an experienced Hydraulics Services Designer to join our team at Norwest Baulkham Hills.

The candidate will perform Hydraulic (Plumbing) engineering consultancy duties associated with the planning, approval and construction of private and public projects.

The successful candidate must have:

  • 4+ years’ experience working as a Hydraulic Consulting Engineer in either plumbing or a consultancy environment within Australia. Essential is a high level of understanding of relevant Australian Standards (eg AS.3500, AS.2419, AS.5601, etc.) and local requirements
  • Provide site administration support such as construction phase and commissioning supervision
  • Proven ability to assist with management of project delivery and design team resources
  • Provide design and documentation of Hydraulic services including, hot and cold water, Gas reticulation systems, waste, stormwater, sewerage and drainage systems, Fire Hydrant and Fire Hose Reel Services for a range of residential, healthcare, commercial, industrial, institutional and mixed use projects
  • Provide management assistance and direction of drafting and Hydraulic Services Design team resourcing
  • Diploma in Hydraulic Services Design or equivalent Engineering Degree
