Senior Hydraulic Services Designer- Brisbane

ACOR Consultants is an Australia-wide group of multi-disciplined Engineers, Infrastructure Planners, Managers and Designers. We have over 20 years’ proven experience in providing specialist Civil, Structural, Remedial, Building Services (Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic, Fire), BIM, and Petrochemical Services.

ACOR Consultants has a number of significant major projects underway and we are looking for an experienced Hydraulics Services Designer to join our team in Brisbane.

The candidate will perform Hydraulic Services Design consultancy duties associated with the planning, approval and construction of private and public projects.

The successful candidate will have:

  • 5+ years’ experience working as a Hydraulic Consulting Engineer in either plumbing or a consultancy environment within Australia. Essential is a high level of understanding of relevant Australian Standards (eg AS.3500, AS.2419, AS.5601, etc) and local requirements
  • Provide site administration support such as construction phase and commissioning supervision
  • Proven ability to assist with management of project delivery and design team resources
  • Provide design and documentation of Hydraulic services including, hot and cold water, Gas reticulation systems, waste, stormwater, sewerage and drainage systems, Fire Hydrant and Fire Hose Reel Services for a range of residential, healthcare, commercial, industrial, institutional, defence and mixed use projects
  • Provide management assistance and direction of drafting and Hydraulic Services Design team resourcing
  • Diploma in Hydraulic Services Design or equivalent Engineering Degree
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and good time management
  • Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment or labour to determine project feasibility
  • Prepare project design reports, budgets and assistance with fee proposals
  • Actively work in a team of expert professionals who are proud of where they work
  • Competent experience in Fire Sprinkler services design (would be advantageous)
  • 3D / Revit, Cad Experience (would be advantageous)
  • Computer competence in using Microsoft Word and Excel

Civil Draftsperson- Brisbane

Our Brisbane office is looking for a Civil Draftsperson with 3+ years experience to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake accurate, timely and quality presentation of civil engineering documentation for a range of civil projects which meet the requirements of the company, client and standards
  • Preparation of design drawings in AutoCAD as required to meet the requirements of individual design projects
  • Design of projects in 12D software as required, and assistance to engineers and designers within the civil engineering team
  • Assist in the preparation of Bill of Quantities, tendering and tender evaluation as required
  • Conduct thorough self-checking of drawings and documentation
  • Maintain project files and keep documentation in order
  • Work closely within a team environment to deliver a coordinated product
  • Mentor and assist junior draftspersons
  • Process control and Quality Assurance documentation and coordination of drafting templates, details and standards
  • Follow utilisation and promotion of company policies and procedures, Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and company Quality Management System

Senior Civil Designer – Brisbane

The ACOR Group of Consulting Engineers is a well-established multi-disciplined engineering practice with offices across Australia.
Our Brisbane office is looking for a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer/Manager with minimum 12+ years experience to join our Civil team..
The successful candidate will need solid, in-depth experience in and knowledge of 12D. You will need to have an approachable personality, be able to work with minimal supervision and be able to interface with clients and other stakeholders.

In addition you will need to satisfy the following essential criteria:

  • 12D design and CAD drafting experience, including site grading, earthworks, stormwater drainage, road and intersection design and In-Ground Services
  • Predominantly experienced in land sub-division design and/or Commercial/Retail Sites
  • Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Able to lead a team of designers and drafters and mentor young staff

Senior Electrical Engineer- Melbourne

We are looking for a talented Senior Electrical Engineer motivated to take the next step forward in their career.

The successful candidate will satisfy the following essential criteria:

  • 5-8+ years’ relevant engineering experience in Australia
  • Chartered Electrical Engineer with relevant Electrical Engineering qualification
  • Ability to coordinate and carry out electrical design as part of a team for a range of projects which may be single discipline or multi-discipline and may span over multiple offices.
  • Proven ability to assist with management of project delivery and team resources to ensure project delivery is within budget and on time.
  • Proven business development skills.
  • Health, Defence and Education project experience, desirable.
  • Ability to prepare project design reports, budgets and fee proposals.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong commitment to safety and knowledge and use of standard engineering work practices.
  • Electrical Design and Drafting experience using AutoCAD and Revit Optional.
  • Experience in estimation, quoting and tendering processes.
  • Experience in production of documents – functional descriptions and test documents.
  • Functional Safety Training and experience, desirable.
  • Ability to work well within a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.
  • Some travel is required for this role.
