This project is a new state of the art automated container Straddle Control Tower and Servicing Facility.
ACOR carried out site-wide infrastructure services for the container park redevelopment and expansion, as well as the design and development for Patrick terminals Autostrad control tower and maintenance facility at Fisherman Island Port of Brisbane.
The site – being constructed on wholly reclaimed material – posed engineering challenges to manage long term settlement of fill materials. The services were designed to provide optimal flexibility at the building structure / site works interface to mitigate expected long term settlement.
The project includes fire and potable water reticulation systems, fire water storage tanks and pumps, sewer reticulation and transfer pumping station operation and control tower building with staff offices and facilities, deep maintenance workshop including straddle wash bay, oily water treatment and disposal for contaminated liquid waste. A tyre changing facility and high bay tyre storage and high hazard fire sprinkler systems were also included. Gaseous fire suppression systems were provided for sensitive computer server areas.
