We are currently seeking 2 Accounting graduates to join our team and provide support to the Accounting Team Leader. This position will include the appropriate training for the right candidate. Recent graduates are invited to apply.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Undertaking the Accounts functions, including:
    • Matching of supplier/contractor invoices to POs and converting POs to bills in MYOB
    • Checking validity of ABN and GST status of suppliers
    • Recording staff credit card transactions (excluding Directors) in MYOB once approved by the Finance Manager
    • Recording staff expenses claims in MYOB once approved by the Financial Controller
    • Payment of creditors by due dates
  • Completing bank reconciliations for the transaction account and general savings account
  • Reconciling (closing) projects by matching entries in MYOB and Keysoft, then advising Management by email
  • Recording staff credit card transactions in MYOB
  • Recording staff expenses in MYOB
  • Assisting with preparation of quarterly BAS, monthly management and reporting of accounts and monitoring statutory tax requirements
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets
  • Maintenance of fixed asset register and company insurances

 

Skills & Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting
  • 0-3 years’ experience in a similar accounts/finance role
  • Practical experience using MYOB an advantage
  • Excellent communication, confidence and rapport-building skills
  • Sound problem solving skills
  • High degree of confidentiality
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Desire to learn and develop new skills
