We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our growing team in NSW. This position exists to support the success of ACOR, both locally and on a national level. The successful applicant will require Engineering and Project Management skills to obtain, secure, manage and deliver successful projects for the company.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Delivering and overseeing civil engineering design and project management tasks on projects
  • Preparing civil engineering designs, specifications and documentation
  • Providing technical advice to junior team members, management, staff, contractors and clients
  • Working closely with engineering team members to clarify drafting and/or documentation issues throughout the design, documentation and construction phases
  • Proactively planning, managing, coordinating, tracking and running assigned project tasks
  • Undertaking occasional site visits

 

Skills & Experience:

  • 8-15 years of previous engineering experience (mid to senior level Civil Engineer)
  • Capable of performing the QA and sign-off role on projects (being able to make decisions on design development and final design specification)
  • Willing and capable of carrying out project design on a portion of projects
  • Capable of managing small design teams of junior engineers, civil designers and drafters
  • Knowledge of civil technical design standards and codes
  • Experience with urban drainage design (DRAINS and MUSIC) essential
  • Experience using 12D and/or Civil 3D highly regarded but not essential
  • Unsupervised project management and client interface management ability essential
  • Excellent communication skills essential
  • Appreciation of commercial aspects of project delivery
  • Experience with bid documentation and business development communication
  • Appreciation of construction requirements and/or site experience highly regarded
