Position: Electrical Draftsperson

As an Electrical Draftsperson, you will support the success of ACOR, both locally and on a national level. The ideal candidate will require engineering and project management skills to obtain, secure, manage and deliver successful projects for the business.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design drafting for Electrical services
  • Working across internal disciplines to deliver and coordinate multi-disciplinary projects
  • Undertaking calculations using recognised industry software programs
  • Coordinating and implementing project schedules
  • Document control for multi-disciplinary projects
  • Liaising with clients to understand requirements and resolve any queries
  • Running the allocated drafting team for complex construction projects from concept design stage through to construction documentation stage
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff in the team
  • Applying your design drafting skills to a diverse group of developments such as aged care, commercial, residential and industrial projects


Skills & Experience

  • 2-5 years previous design/drafting experience
  • Proficiency in CAD, BIM modelling (Revit), AutoCAD, Navisworks and experience with application of virtual reality simulation tools
  • High competency level with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong analytical and technical report writing skills
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and client requirements
  • A strong commitment to client satisfaction and quality work
  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects
