Position: Fire Services Design Team Leader

As a Fire Protection Team Leader, you will support the success of ACOR, both locally and on a national level. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate building services industry experience with extensive exposure to Fire, with experience in dry and wet fire systems design, across a large range of projects. The candidate will have a desire to develop their skills in in the leadership and mentoring of an existing team, as well as taking the lead with client interactions.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a small fire design team
  • Ensure that accurate design and advice are provided and in accordance to brief and applicable standards, to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fire dry and wet systems design and documentation in accordance with ACOR and industry standard procedures
  • Maintain technical standards as per contractual obligations.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders and clients.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering (or related discipline)
  • Demonstrated technical experience working within the building services industry, with exposure to Fire Services.
  • Proven leadership experience highly regarded.
  • Ability to produce complete design documentation
  • Knowledge and proficiency in REVIT & AutoCAD in modelling-documentation and Hyena calculation. Exposure to Revit MEP is desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrated technical ability to represent company to internal & external stakeholders
  • In depth understanding of NCC (BCA), AS1670, AS2118, AS2419, and AS2940.
