Our Melbourne office is looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer a proven track record in project management and building services design to join our team to. You will have the opportunity to work across various developments, including education, commercial, sport and recreation, health, residential and industrial projects.

  • Mechanical services design and analysis using industry standards
  • Prepare technical specifications, life cycle costing and feasibility reports, existing condition and due diligence reports.
  • Work across internal disciplines to deliver and coordinate multi-disciplinary projects, understanding, identifying & managing project risks
  • Prepare technical specifications, life cycle costing and feasibility reports, existing condition and due diligence reports.
  • Liaise with clients and participate in construction support activities including responses to requests for information, submittal reviews, construction site visits, and design revisions/management of change
  • Delegating work to and mentoring junior mechanical engineers.

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Registered Building Practitioner (RBP) with Victoria Building Authority.
  • Strong mechanical (HVAC) engineering experience across a range of sectors
  • Strong experience in cooling and heating load estimations using software packages CAMEL, IES VE and/or Design Builder.
  • Understanding of local standards and legislation across various disciplines
  • Understanding of project management processes and delivery, including strong client management skills
  • Chartered Engineer with Engineers Australia and registered on NER or on a pathway to achieving this.

Some travel may be required for this role.
