“The mechanical design represents the lungs of the project. As engineers, we closely examine the operational requirements of the space to devise a fully integrated solution.”
Whether designing a building, a mixed-use precinct, or refurbishment of a military facility, I establish a holistic understanding of the client’s requirements, including key drivers and a hierarchy of parameters for the project.
Energy performance is integrated with the architecture. If the building aspect or proposed façade has an impact on energy consumption, then we will test different options to find the most efficient solution. Operational maintenance is an important part of the process, so I enjoy engaging with building stakeholders and bringing them on the journey.
I appreciate travel to experience the history and the architecture of the world’s cities. In my spare time I like to be with my young family, I have a son and my brother is also here in the ACT.
