The redevelopment of Edgarley Assisted Living, Casterton will deliver 60 new beds, a commercial kitchen, industrial laundry, indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, administration offices, consulting rooms, care stations, a multipurpose dining hall, and a hairdressing studio.

The new facilities are being delivered on a design and construct basis, in collaboration with lead contractor Fairbrother and Baade Harbour Architects.

ACOR Consultants is delivering multi-disciplinary engineering for the project including civil, structural and building services.  The design and documentation process followed takes advantage of the multidisciplinary nature of the project with the use of BIM 360 for file sharing, allowing for a coordinated federated model managed by ACOR’s BIM coordinator.

The new development will expand capacity whilst refurbishing the facilities with modern interiors and services including an extensive outdoor deck that will rejuvenate and revitalise the living environment.

The new home is scheduled for completion in July 2021.
