Our Timeline

1997

From humble beginnings, two young engineers thought they ‘would have a crack’ and start an engineering firm specialising in Civil and Building Hydraulics.

And so ACOR was born.

1998

1998 ACOR merged with consulting company Ingenue. This allowed ACOR to offer Structural Engineering services.

Founders Nick Kokolis and Chris Rowse remain in the business today.

And so the ACOR “family” was formed and it is this idea that remains true to this day.

2008

After a decade of operation, the business continued to grow.

ACOR expanded into Queensland, with the acquisition of Baseline Consultants; and Central Coast NSW with the acquisition of Appleyard.

The company doubled in size within 18 months.

2010

In 2010, ACOR continued to
expand, establishing new offices in Newcastle and Western Sydney.

2013

ACOR expanded into Energy Consulting Services with the merger of Moore Consulting and Engineering (MC&E). This allowed ACOR to expand its engineering services into WA.

ACOR also established a Broome office.

2017

ACOR expanded to Victoria, with the merger of Kersulting.

2019

ACOR establishes Darwin Office to support expansion into NT.

2020

ACOR merged with Rudds
Consulting Engineering, gaining a foothold in the ACT as well as increased presence in Melbourne.

2022

ACOR now have 500 staff nationwide and are celebrating 25 years!

Today, ACOR Consultants is a multidisciplinary engineering firm servicing clients across Australia.
