Canberra and Melbourne based Rudds Consulting Engineers has joined ACOR Consultants.
National Consulting Engineering firm ACOR Consultants has successfully completed its merger with Rudds Consulting Engineers, further strengthening the range of services the companies will provide to clients across Australia.
Together, our complementary skills will build on the excellent track record of success that both ACOR and Rudds have established in the delivery of multi-disciplinary services to clients across Australia for more than 20 years.
The merger extends ACOR’s national footprint into Canberra to improve servicing of its growing government client base and it increases our offering in Melbourne, Australia’s fastest-growing city. With the addition of 70 new personnel, the ACOR Group has grown to more than 400 people, becoming one of the largest Australian, employee-owned engineering consultancies in the country.
ACOR has built an excellent reputation for the delivery of Structural, Civil and Hydraulic engineering services, along with Building Services to public and private sector clients across a range of market sectors. The integration of Rudds into the ACOR business will further strengthen the firm’s value proposition, enhancing its Building Services capacity and capability, particularly in the Electrical, Mechanical and Acoustic disciplines.
The Rudds office in the Australian Capital Territory will trade under the new name of ACOR-Rudds, ensuring a smooth transition of operations for existing clients and the team.
ACOR Managing Director, Michael Goodwin:

Rudds outstanding market reputation, comprehensive skill base and locations naturally complements our existing capabilities and will help build our collective group into one of the most experienced and forward-thinking engineering consultancies in the country.”
Rudds Director, Andrew Beattie:
“In reaching this decision we placed a large emphasis on organisational culture, our ability to maintain a quality product and opportunities for continued staff development. We firmly believe that the opportunities provided by merging our business into ACOR will significantly benefit our staff and clients alike.”
