I get great satisfaction from interacting with designers, solving problems and challenging the norm to create the ‘right’ solution. I am particularly interested in the integration of BIM technology into practical on-site building practices.

To see your design being built and fulfilling its intended function is very satisfying. In my career I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work overseas for 4 years as a consulting engineer in London and to have worked on some interesting projects such as the design of Cyprus International Airport in the Mediterranean.

By investing time into understanding my clients’ business and tailoring a design meet their needs, I hope to continue to have opportunities to work with good people, on good projects.

Outside of work my time is taken up with raising my two young boys and enjoying time with family and friends.

James is an Associate of ACOR and holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons). He has has over 12 years’ structural design experience on a wide variety and scale of projects in both Australia and overseas –  including working on the Cyprus International Airport in the Mediterranean.

From architecturally aspiring residential and institutional buildings to community focused facilities, retail centres and high-rise developments, James’s diverse structural design background and experience with various construction methods and materials means he can offer a unique perspective to any project.
