ACOR today announces a planned leadership transition, as Managing Director Michael Goodwin prepares to step down from his role within the next 12 months. After 28 years at the helm, Michael will continue to support the business throughout the transition and beyond, ensuring a seamless handover to the next phase of ACOR’s leadership.

“This is not a departure, but rather a transition—one that will allow both ACOR and me to evolve in different ways,” said Michael. “Over the years, I have been consistently proud of what we have built together. From establishing ACOR’s identity to expanding nationally and reinforcing our long-term foundations, the company is well-positioned for future success.”
The decision comes as part of a carefully considered plan between Michael and the Board over the past year. A formal recruitment process for a new Managing Director will commence shortly, with an appointment expected before the end of 2025. The selection process, led by the Board’s Nominations Committee, will include both internal and external candidates to ensure the right leader is chosen to guide ACOR into its next chapter.
“I believe now is the right time for ACOR to take the next step, and I am confident that our team and our vision will only grow stronger in the years ahead.”

Michael emphasised that his commitment to ACOR remains steadfast. He will continue leading the business during this transition and will remain involved as an employee and shareholder following the appointment of the new Managing Director.
“Leadership is about knowing when to make room for fresh perspectives and new energy,” he added. “I believe now is the right time for ACOR to take the next step, and I am confident that our team and our vision will only grow stronger in the years ahead.”
ACOR remains dedicated to its mission as a staff-owned, nationally integrated business with a strong focus on its people, clients, and stakeholders. This transition marks an important milestone in ACOR’s ongoing evolution and long-term growth strategy.
