Dickson Interchange – ACT

Project Overview

ACOR is proud to have worked on the redevelopment of the former Dickson Motor Registry site for the ACT Government. The redevelopment comprises of 4 buildings in total over 16,000m², all interconnected via two levels of basement carparking. The project is a Finalist in the Property Council of Australia’s Innovation and Excellence Awards under the Project Innovation Award category. The project received a 5-Star Green Star Certified Design & As Built rating and is the first PCA building in Canberra with all electric solution.

Our Approach

We pride ourselves on being innovative and conscious of technology. We with the ACT Government to workshop solutions and thorough this process came up with an optimum strategy for the client.

ACOR Consultants worked with the Doma Group to redevelop the former Dickson Motor Registry Site. The precinct development comprises of 4 buildings in total over 16,000m², all interconnected via two levels of basement carparking.

We developed a new 13,500m² NLA PCA Grade A office building for the ACT Government targeting 5 Star NABERS Base Building Energy rating, 4 Star NABERS Water Rating, 4.5 Star NABERS Indoor Environment Rating, 4.5 Star NABERS Tenancy Energy Rating and 5 Star Green Star Design & As Built Rating.

We also developed two mixed use towers which comprise of 5,000m² NLA commercial office space, 625m² gymnasium, 1,230m² medical office, 1,800m² of retail and food and beverage space, a supermarket and 190 apartments. As well as a new mixed-use residential development incorporating 1,000m² of retail and food and beverage space, a 90 place childcare facility and 101 residential apartments.

Our Impact

The Dickson Interchange project recently received a 5-Star Green Star Certified Design & As Built rating. This unique project was purpose built for the ACT Government and is the first PCA building in Canberra with all electric solution. ACOR worked alongside Bates Smart, BLOC, DOMA, SCP Consulting Pty Ltd and Sellick Consultants Pty Ltd to complete this PCA Grade A office building.

The project is a Finalist in the Property Council of Australia’s Innovation and Excellence Awards under the Project Innovation Award category. The ACOR ESD Team are providing ongoing Tracing and Monitoring for the project, which also features a 5-star NABERS Base Building and Tenant Rating.
