Ian Herman is an executive and strategic advisor with over 35 years in professional services, specialising in governance, operational efficiency, and transformation strategies. Ian is deeply invested in helping businesses and organisations reach their full potential, and he has provided expert advisory services to a range of organisations, including public companies, large private firms, government entities, and not-for-profits. 

Ian has held significant leadership roles, including Chief Executive Officer of the Burgess Group Family Office, where he was responsible for driving investment, property, and philanthropic strategies. Prior to that, Ian was Chief Operating Officer at Grant Thornton, one of the world’s leading organisations of independent assurance, tax and advisory firms, where he focused on enhancing the firm’s operational agility and client service, playing a key role in shaping the firm’s strategic direction and performance throughout his 15-year tenure. 

Ian’s governance experience spans a wide range of sectors; he is currently the Future Retail Group Singapore – Advisory Chair, Haileybury & Haileybury International – Council Member, Finance Audit & Risk Committee Chair, ATC Williams – Non-Executive Director, Finance Audit & Risk Committee Member, and the Cybec Foundation – Chairman.
