“The most satisfying thing about my role is seeing the things that I have designed come to life “
Caitlin is a Civil Engineer in our St Leonards office who has been a part of ACOR since her third year of university.
With an interest in mathematics, Caitlin took a liking to engineering over finance and economic based courses. She studied at UNSW and undertook the industry training requirement of her degree at ACOR.
She’s been with us ever since.
Caitlin values the ever-changing nature of engineering; that there will always be new things to learn, and unique but exciting challenges to overcome. As a Civil Engineer at ACOR, Caitlin has had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects of different sizes, in different sectors, in all areas of Civil design. The collaborative nature of ACOR meant that she worked with, and learned from, people from all levels and locations in the company from day one. Caitlin values this company culture and feels her work at ACOR is never stagnant nor monotonous.
Progression opportunities were an important deciding factor when Caitlin was choosing a workplace after her degree. She felt ACOR would be supportive of her regardless of what path she chose to pursue. Currently, Caitlin is a member of the Sustainability taskforce and is playing an important role in shaping the future of ACOR. The taskforce was formed to create the framework for bringing about positive change not only within the business, but as an industry. Being part of this team is something Caitlin is passionate about, and she is helping shift the perspective of the business and build the foundation for future change.
In her spare time, Caitlin enjoys socialising, attending live gigs and travelling. She recently visited Europe and pursued some interests outside of work which ACOR was very flexible towards and allowed her to take time off to do.
